High-level OFID Seminar addresses long-term challenges of food security
The OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) has invited the CFC to participate in the High-Level OFID Seminar on “Long-term Challenges of Food Security” taking place on 30 March 2016 at OFID Headquarters in Vienna, Austria. The opening address of the Seminar will be made by Mr. Suleiman J. Herbish, Director-General of OFID, and Mr. Li Yong, Director General of UNIDO will make the Chairman’s address. The event will be attended by ICARDA, ICBA and CFS and ambassadors of OFID member countries and Arab States in Austria, heads of Vienna-based international organisations, representatives of Austrian Federal ministries and high-level experts.
On this occasion, Mr. Parvindar Singh, Managing Director, will present a statement on “Creating the Base for Sustained Food Security” and a small video on “Heart of Development” covering income generation, food security, market access and livelihood with support of OFID and other development partners. Mr. Singh will be accompanied by Mr. Francesco Gibbi, Project Manager.
