Delegation from the Embassy of Indonesia visiting CFC
A delegation from the Embassy of Indonesia in The Hague comprising Mr. Royhan Wahab, Minister Counsellor, Mr. Andrea Stefanus, First Secretary, and Ms. Raisa Muthmaina, Third Secretary, visited the offices of the CFC to discuss issues of mutual interests and concerns. They explored the potential for further cooperation between Indonesia and CFC. Special focus of the discussion was on the sheer devastation globally because of the pandemic and the war in Ukraine.
Ambassador Sheikh Mohammed Belal, Managing Director of the CFC, and Mr. Andrey Kuleshov, Chief of Strategy and Development of CFC, welcomed the delegation.
An introductory presentation was given to provide the delegation with a better understanding on the mandate and works of the organization. Highlighting some of the successful pilots that have been implemented by the CFC, Ambassador Belal sought the help of Indonesia to improve the format and character of CFC projects.
The discussion further touched upon the ongoing initiative on the formulation of a fund titled ACT (Agricultural Commodities Transformation Fund)[1] designed to enable CFC to contribute more towards the alleviation of poverty. Once ACT is formed, member states and private investors will be urged to join this impact investment fund investors.
