Eradicating poverty is a complex and multifaceted challenge, and managing commodity dependence is just one aspect of it. However, addressing this issue can contribute significantly to poverty reduction by promoting economic stability, diversification, and sustainable development in commodity-dependent regions. It requires cooperation and coordination among governments, international organizations, the private sector, and civil society to create lasting solutions. By exploring investment models and understanding the struggles of smallholders at the beginning of the value chain, we can work towards liberating them from poverty and reducing their dependency on commodities.
