CFC meets RABO foundation online
Mr. Pim Mol, Managing Director of the Rabo Foundation, and Managing Director Ambassador Sheikh Mohammed Belal met virtually to explore possibilities for cooperation and synergies between the two organisations. In the past, the CFC and the Rabobank Group had been working together on several projects on the African continent.
Mr. Mol was joined in the video call along with Ms. Madelon Pfeiffer, who is responsible for projects in Africa. Ambassador Belal was accompanied by Mr. Andrey Kuleshov, Strategy and Development Advisor.
During the discussion, Ambassador Belal briefed Mr. Mol on the current as well as probable future initiatives of the CFC. Considering the setback we all have been enduring due to COVID-19 pandemic, Ambassador Belal wished to see more working relations and partnership with the countries in the days to come.
Ambassador Belal, taking cue from COVID-19 lessons, highlighted the importance of capacity building initiatives beyond business case of CFC’s usual projects. Ambassador Belal particularly sought Rabo Banks partnership in CFC’s post-Covid drive for digitalisations where possible. Mr Mol, while thanking CFC for the outreach, assured to jointly explore future collaborations between CFC and the Rabo Foundation. He congratulated CFC for their devoted word and drive for creating more impact in the commodity producing developing countries.
