31st Annual Meeting of the Governing Council

3-4 December 2019, The Hague. 

The Common Fund for Commodities (CFC) at its 31st Annual Meeting of the Governing Council held in The Hague, The Netherlands appointed Ambassador Sheikh Mohammed Belal (Bangladesh) as the Managing Director for a four year term.

The Governing Council is the CFC’s main decision-making body and the Managing Director is the Chief Executive Officer of the Fund responsible for conducting business of the CFC.

Managing Directors of CFC

Since the establishment of the CFC in 1989, there have been four Managing Directors:

  • Mr. Budi Hartantyo, Indonesia (1989-1996)
  • Mr. Rolf Boehnke, Germany (1996-2004)
  • Amb. Ali Mchumo, Tanzania (2004-2012)
  • Mr. Parvindar Singh, India (2016- onwards)
