Ambassador Belal provided an overview of the CFC’s ongoing initiatives and the growing demand for its services. He highlighted the organization’s tangible impact in promoting sustainable development and poverty reduction, especially in the face of global crises. Emphasizing the need for collective action, he underscored the importance of partnerships like the one between Thailand and the CFC to drive meaningful change. Ambassador Belal also stressed the importance of further developing the “Humanizing the Value Chains” initiative to maximize benefits for farmers, reduce poverty, and combat hunger.

In addition, Ambassador Belal urged Thailand to share its success stories and best practices with the global community, inspiring other nations and contributing to the replication of effective strategies worldwide. He specifically requested Ambassador Mamanee to recommend the CFC’s newly launched Agricultural Commodity Transformation Fund (ACT Fund) to the Thai government and private sector entities. He reiterated Thailand’s continued support for the CFC and its mission, highlighting the alignment between the CFC’s goals and Thailand’s commitment to sustainable development and poverty eradication.

Ambassador Belal acknowledged Thailand’s strong relationship with the CFC, describing the country as a “standard-bearer in the commodity sector.” He expressed the CFC’s eagerness to see increased investments in Thailand and looked forward to the Royal Thai Embassy in The Hague’s vigorous engagement in the activities of the CFC.
